COVID-19 UPDATE: We are open!

We hope you and your family have stayed safe and healthy for the last few months! The entire team at Perfect Postures has been dedicated to maintaining the safety of our clients and employees since reopening our Newton and Newburyport offices. We have been conservative with the reopening process and have been successfully training clients in a safe environment since July 6th.

Some of our policies have changed due to COVID-19. Please read the following policies and procedures.

Appointment Information:

  • Appointments are required

  • Please be respectful of our time and others'. Please come on time to your appointment; no appointments will be extended if you are late

  • Please wait in your car until you are called to come inside

  • We will come out to get you at the start of your appointment and open doors for you on your way out. This will help limit the amount of touched surfaces

  • For strength clients, please do your corrective at home or at the start of your appointment (it will not be possible to come early to do them before your session starts)

  • For corrective clients, we will call you the day before (or on Friday for Monday appointments) to review your concerns (this will limit face-to-face time in the office

  • For corrective clients, please let us know your comfort level; if you'd like to limit time spent in the office, we will review one set of each exercise with you and send you on your way. If you do not feel comfortable having us palpate landmarks, please let us know

  • Corrective and Strength appointments will be staggered by 15 minutes to ensure time for proper cleaning limit overlap between clients

  • In order to limit surface contact, our trainers will not hand weights to clients during their session

Facility and Equipment Cleaning:

  • Our cleaner is listed on the EPA's site as a "Disinfectant for Use Against SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19)." 

  • We will be thoroughly wiping down mats, equipment, and other commonly touched items between clients

  • There will be sanitizer stations at each entrance, we ask that you sanitize your hands before coming into the offices

  • We will keep air circulating with fans and AC units to prevent stagnant air 

Masking:

  • Clients and employees will be required to wear face coverings to enter the facility

  • Please bring your own mask/ face covering as our supply will be limited

  • The trainer will observe a distance of at least 6 feet as much as able throughout the session

Bathroom/Changing/Shower Room and Water Cooler Use:

  • We ask that you limit bathroom use as much as possible to reduce the transfer of COVID through surfaces and congregation

  • Thorough hand washing after using the facilities is mandatory

  • Our changing room/shower room will be off-limits until further notice

  • Please bring your own water bottles to limit use of water coolers during this time

Newton Location Notes:

  • We will have two separate entrances for our strength and corrective appointments

  • For corrective appointments: please use our main entrance door near the bathrooms (there will be a sign in the hallway)

  • For strength appointments: please use the back door that opens to the strength training room

  • The door between the gym and the corrective room will remain shut until further notice.

  • We will have one employee in the front office, one employee in the gym

  • Each employee will only be allowed to have one client at a time (unless clients are from the same household)

Newburyport Location Notes:

  • We will have one employee and one client (unless they live in the same household) in this facility at once

Online Services:

  • If you are not comfortable with our reopening policies, we will still offer our virtual services

We are doing everything we can to keep everyone safe and help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Please be respectful of everyone and stay home if you are not feeling well or develop a fever, chills, sore throat, runny nose, cough, muscle aches, or sudden loss of taste or smell.
